Braces
When I was in elementary school we noticed that my teeth were growing in a little crooked. By the time I was in high school my teeth were a total mess. I went to see a dentist in La Mesa who suggested I use braces. I dreaded the thought of it knowing that kids would make fun of me as long as I had them on, but I got them anyways.
In the next few years I was constantly called metal mouth, train tracks, and many other hurtful names. I hated my braces and wanted nothing more than to have them removed. After three years I made it into high school. The week before school started I got them removed. It was amazing. My teeth were beautiful, and I wasn’t the only one who thought so. I was getting attention from people who before made fun of my teeth and called me names. I was totally shocked to know that I was now a total babe in the school.
All I know is that I suffered a lot in junior high, but when I got to high school everyone wanted to be my friend. I just wanted to say thanks to my dentist in La Mesa for taking such good care of my mouth and teeth. If not for him I would have been a loser forever.
