Healthy Body, Healthy Teeth


      As a dentist in Cambridge it is my job to help people understand the importance of a healthy mouth. Part of what makes a mouth healthy is the foods we eat. People are always amazed to learn that the foods we eat not only affect the health of our bodies, but that of our teeth as well. The same foods that give us energy and make us healthy and strong are the best foods for our teeth.

     The best foods are those that have large amount of fibers. These foods are carrots, apples, and etc. If it has a lot of fiber, it is great for your teeth. Milk as well is a great nutrient for the teeth. It helps keep them strong and white as well as the bones in the body. The foods that are full of sugars and butter and bad not only for the body but can kill and harm the teeth as well.

     Each year (as I am a dentist in Cambridge) I have hundreds of people who come to me and never understand why they are having so many problems with their teeth. They never even think that the foods they are eating are having a very negative effect on their health and their lives.
